The La Mar Sona initiative celebrates its first edition in Xilxes on June 26th and 27th, offering a free program on the Maritime Promenade that combines music, dance, circus, and painting.

Music and its connection with different artistic disciplines will be the protagonists of the first edition of La Mar Sona, a multidisciplinary event that will welcome summer this weekend on the beach of Xilxes. During June 26th and 27th, the Maritime Promenade will host a free program combining live music, dance, circus, painting, and itinerant performances at various points along the route.
The initiative will primarily feature local and Valencian artists and companies, designed for all audiences. The opening day, Friday 26th, will begin at 7:15 PM with La mensajera del mar, an itinerant performance by Ivana Michlig. Following this, Azimut will merge the music of Alessandro Olla with the live painting of Ana Beltrán Porcar. The evening will continue with a DJ set by Fonki Cheff DJ Set at 8:45 PM, and conclude at 10:15 PM with A taula parada, by TreintayCirco, starring juggler Rafa Diago and artist Miguel Araya.
On Saturday 27th, the program will resume at 12:00 PM with a new itinerant performance, Steampunk Promenade, by the company La Inestable. In the afternoon, at 7:30 PM, Armonía Intergeneracional will take place, promoted by Fundación Músicos por la Salud, aiming to create meeting spaces between the elderly and young people through music.
The final stretch of La Mar Sona will include Esc(a)parªte, at 10:15 PM, by contemporary dance performer Carla Escamilla, and will conclude with a performance by the vocal group Las WOT, formed by Valencians Sandra Miralles, Yolanda García, and Virginia Vila. All performances will end at the Plaza de la Armada, the final meeting point of this cultural event.
La Mar Sona is an initiative by Batec with artistic direction from Artèria Cultural, in collaboration with the Xilxes City Council and Fundación Músicos por la Salud, and subsidized by the Provincial Tourism Board of Castellón.
