The chief of the Vila-real Local Police, Ramón Martínez, has been honored with the Medal for Police Merit by the Alcobendas City Council, recognizing his professional career.

The police commander from Vila-real received the decoration at an institutional ceremony held in the Madrid locality, attended by civil, military, and police authorities from the Community of Madrid, as well as representatives from various security forces. This recognition highlights his dedication to public service and commitment to citizen safety.
The Vila-real Local Police have publicly congratulated the chief, considering the award "well-deserved." His career is noted for its service vocation, responsibility, and daily work for the benefit of citizens.
This Medal for Police Merit, awarded by the Alcobendas City Council, represents a new external recognition for a Vila-real Local Police commander, reinforcing the appreciation of his work within the police field. It is not the first distinction he has received; a year ago, in June 2025, Martínez was awarded the Cross for Distinguished Services by the Teruel Local Police in gratitude for eight years of collaboration in exporting Vila-real's community policing and continuous training model to the Aragonese city.
