Villarreal B drew 1-1 against Atlético Sanluqueño in their final league match. This result, combined with Atlético Madrileño's victory, means the yellow team finishes fourth and will face Zamora in the first round of the promotion play-offs to the Second Division, with the disadvantage of playing the second leg away.

David Albelda's team, which approached the match with many rotations to avoid unnecessary risks for key players ahead of the play-offs, could not secure a victory at the home of the already relegated Atlético Sanluqueño. The match ended in a 1-1 draw, with goals from Ayman Arguigue for the visitors in the 9th minute and Sergio Niza for the home side in first-half stoppage time. Villarreal B had the chance to go 0-2 up, but Etienne Eto'o missed a penalty in the 28th minute, which was saved by the young local goalkeeper Rodri Rocafort.
In the second half, the Andalusian team also missed a penalty. In the 52nd minute, Marcos Denia was fouled by Cheick Thiam, but Sergio Niza's shot was saved by the Ukrainian goalkeeper of the yellow reserves, Yakiv Kinareikin. The bad news for Villarreal B was the direct red card expulsion of forward Albert García in the 78th minute, which could prevent him from playing in some play-off matches if the appeals are unsuccessful.
With this draw, Villarreal B finishes in fourth position and will face Zamora CF, third in Group 1 of the Primera Federación, managed by Óscar Cano. The first leg will be played next weekend at the Mini Estadi, and the return leg will take place seven days later at the Ruta de la Plata stadium in Zamora.
Villarreal B's starting lineup included several changes, with Kinareikin in goal; Sola, Sierra, Eneko Ortiz, and Iván Rodríguez in defence; Thiam, Pascual, Bonafé, and Nizar in midfield; and Ayman and Eto'o in attack.
