The Civil Guard has arrested a woman as the alleged perpetrator of a fire set in her ex-partner's home in Vall d'Uixó, in the La Plana Baixa region. The fire, which occurred on Sunday, June 28, caused the death of a dog that was inside.

The incident took place in a dwelling where, according to information provided, no people were present when the flames started, thus avoiding injuries among the inhabitants.
Personnel from the Plana Baixa station of the Provincial Firefighters Consortium of Castellón were dispatched to the scene to extinguish the blaze, which charred several rooms of the house. The operation focused on controlling the spread and ventilating the smoke-affected property.
During the intervention, firefighters found a dog unconscious due to the fire and smoke inhalation. Despite resuscitation efforts, the animal ultimately died. The fire caused significant material damage, in addition to the death of the dog.
The Civil Guard has arrested a woman as the alleged perpetrator of the fire. The investigation remains open to clarify the exact circumstances and determine the possible intentionality of the fire.
