Valencian popular culture has once again taken center stage in Burriana with the celebration of the III Dansà a la Mare de Déu dels Desemparats, an event that consolidates local traditions.

The event, which took place this morning in the Plaça de les Monges, has managed to consolidate itself in its third edition as an unmissable event in the traditional festive calendar of the capital of La Plana Baixa.
The 'falleros' and 'falleras' from the city's different commissions participated in this collective couples' dance, after several weeks of rehearsals at the Llar Fallero. Under the guidance of a member of the Grup de Danses Tradicionals l’Arenilla and the Junta Local Fallera, the participants starred in a multitudinous gathering that highlighted the rich cultural heritage and traditional dances that define Burriana's identity.
The Dansà also featured the presence of the Fallas queens of Burriana 2026, accompanied by their courts of honor and members of the Junta Local Fallera, who did not want to miss this reunion with Valencian roots and folklore. The day was enlivened by live music from the Colla de Dolçainers i Tabaleters de Burriana, who, together with the collaboration of the Grup de Danses Tradicionals l’Arenilla, provided the necessary rhythm to turn the square into a stage of culture and devotion to the Mare de Déu dels Desemparats.

"The Dansà has become an unmissable event for our traditions. Reaching the third edition is a symptom of the enthusiasm with which the Fallas world and the residents live our customs. This gathering provides an incomparable setting to pay homage to our roots and highlight the rich cultural heritage that unites us as a municipality."
