Burriana has filled the Payà Theatre for the 'Dance: Here and Now' gala, which brought together over 90 young dancers from national conservatories, demonstrating their high artistic level.

The city of Burriana has been the setting for a prominent cultural event with the celebration of the 'Dance: Here and Now' gala at the Payà Theatre. The show, promoted by the Department of Culture and the Municipal Centre of Arts, has reached its third edition, establishing itself as a unique event to showcase the talent of future dance stars nationwide.
More than 90 artists from leading institutions in cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Riba-roja, and Castellón shared the spotlight with the Spanish Dance Choreographic Workshop of Burriana, which opened the performance. For an hour and a half, the audience enjoyed a variety of styles, from classical and contemporary dance to flamenco and Spanish dance, featuring pieces choreographed by renowned artists like Antonio Najarro and Crystal Pite.
The City Council of Burriana thus concludes a significant cultural event that not only offers quality free entertainment to residents but also serves to highlight the effort, rehearsal hours, and discipline required by this artistic discipline, especially in the final stages of these young dancers' graduation courses.
The Councilor for Culture, Alejandro Clausell, emphasized that “with the third edition of this gala, Burriana is consolidating itself as a major showcase for dance nationally.” He highlighted that the show “has allowed us to open the doors of the Payà Theatre to show the public the enormous effort, rehearsal hours, and great dedication that this discipline demands.”
For her part, the director of the Municipal Centre of Arts, Ana Llopis, thanked the participating conservatories for their involvement, noting that “the directors and dancers have committed to Burriana at a very complicated time of the year, in the final stretch of the course, with very tight schedules due to final exams, auditions, and graduation preparations.”
