The Center for Information and Coordination of Emergencies (CICU) received a report at 2:20 AM this Sunday regarding a traffic accident at kilometer 981 of the N-340. Two SAMU units, two Basic Life Support (SVB) units, and one Advanced Nursing Life Support (SVAE) unit were dispatched to the scene.
As a consequence of the impact, medical services confirmed the deaths of four people at the scene of the incident (three men and one woman). Additionally, six men were injured.
Healthcare teams attended to the six injured individuals. Three had multiple traumas, and the other three sustained various injuries. Following initial assistance, four of the injured were transferred to the General Hospital of Castellón, and the remaining two to the Hospital de la Plana.
Guardia Civil patrols, the Local Police of Castellón, and municipal firefighters also responded to the area, working until seven in the morning to extricate the victims.
The General Hospital of Castellón reports that one of the injured is admitted to the ICU, two are in the general ward, and another is in the Emergency Observation unit. At the Hospital de la Plana, two injured individuals are admitted to the general ward.
