The firm Pua Fusteria, located in Benlloc and managed by Álex Nebot, is establishing itself as an example of reviving traditional crafts through artisan woodworking using recycled and sustainable materials.

The notion that traditional crafts are in danger of disappearing is challenged by initiatives like Pua Fusteria in Benlloc. Álex Nebot has transformed his passion for wood into a profession, creating unique pieces from recycled wood, brought to life with the collaboration of illustrator Sara Bellés.
Nebot, a self-taught woodworker, has honed his skills through experience and commissions. After studying Sports Science, he discovered his calling in woodworking, an experience complemented by a year working for a company in the sector in Els Ibarsos. Now, with his personal brand Pua Fusteria, he designs and crafts everything from animal figures and games to decorative objects.
One notable project involved creating all the wooden elements for the tavern Atemporal, located on Navarra street in Castelló, including doors, tables, and ceiling moldings. He has also completed work for the pizzeria Saor in Benlloc, using reclaimed walnut wood and vine trunks.
Pua Fusteria's philosophy centers on using natural, sustainable materials and reclaimed wood pieces, giving them a second life. In addition to creating new items, they also restore old furniture and wooden elements, a task Nebot finds particularly fulfilling.
Thanks to support from the Leader program, Álex Nebot has established a new workshop in Benlloc with industrial machinery, enabling him to undertake larger projects like kitchens and wardrobes. He also contributes to the creation of 'fallas' (traditional Valencian sculptures), crafting the internal wooden structure for Marta Povez's workshop in Sant Mateu.
The region's response has been positive, and Nebot aims to continue growing step by step, enjoying each project. His decision to reside in Benlloc, seeking a better quality of life, demonstrates that dreams can be achieved by finding one's vocation in a hobby.
