La Concha beach in Oropesa has welcomed back its iconic aquatic swing, a major tourist attraction for this summer, which will remain installed until October.

The beach season in Oropesa has officially begun, bringing with it the return of one of its most recognizable sights: the famous La Concha swing. The structure, located in the southern part of the coastline, in front of the Oropesa del Mar sign and near Orpesa la Vella cove, is once again operational in the sea.
As explained by the Councilor for Beaches, Isabel Moya, the swing is expected to remain in its location until October, provided that weather conditions, particularly strong storms, allow it. This location was reinstated after the High Court of Justice of the Valencian Community ruled in favor of the council, overturning a previous decision by Costas that required its relocation to the sand.
This structure, a pioneer in the Valencian Community since its installation in 2021, quickly became a major tourist draw. Its return marks the start of the summer season and is part of the Beach Exploitation Plan authorized by Costas.
In addition to the swing, Oropesa's coastline this year offers an expansion of nautical services, including a new deposit point for renting pedal boats, kayaks, and paddle surfboards at Amplàries beach. La Concha beach will concentrate a significant portion of the activity with equipment rentals, a bio-healthy zone, beach volleyball courts, and other essential services.
Morro de Gos and Amplàries beaches will also feature accessible beach services, lifeguard services, and facilities for nautical activities. Other beaches such as Playetes de Bellver, Torre Bellver, La Cala del Retor, and Orpesa la Vella will have services adapted to their characteristics, including walkways, showers, foot washes, and bins.
