One dead, three injured after car plunges down embankment in Polop

The vehicle fell approximately 150 meters down a slope on a winding section of the CV-70, requiring extrication efforts.

One person has died and three others have sustained injuries of varying severity after a car plunged down an approximately 150-meter embankment on the CV-70, near Polop, in the province of Alicante.

The accident occurred on a curved section of the road connecting Confrides and Polop. The vehicle, carrying four occupants, fell down a steep drop, leaving all four trapped inside.
Emergency teams, alerted around 9:18 PM this Sunday, had to perform extrication operations to reach the occupants.
As a result of the incident, one of the individuals in the car lost their life, while the other three suffered injuries of different degrees.
A command unit, a heavy urban pumper, a light urban pumper, a rescue van, a sergeant, and eight firefighters from the Benidorm station were dispatched to the scene.
