One person has died and three others have been injured with varying degrees of severity after a car fell down an embankment of approximately 150 meters on the CV-70, near Polop, in the province of Alicante.

The incident occurred this Sunday when the vehicle, carrying four occupants, veered off the road on a curve. As a result of the fall, one person died and the other three sustained injuries of different severity.
Emergency services received the alert at 9:18 PM on the road connecting Confrides and Polop. All four occupants were trapped inside the car, necessitating intervention by firefighters for their extrication.
The rescue was particularly complex due to the difficulty of access and the steepness of the terrain. A large contingent, including a command unit, a heavy urban pumper, a light urban pumper, a rescue van, a sergeant, and eight firefighters from the Benidorm station, was dispatched to the scene.
