Agents from the Benidorm Police Station's Response Operational Group observed a taxi carrying, in addition to the driver, three men who were making suspicious movements. Upon stopping the vehicle, one of the passengers attempted to flee on foot but was immediately apprehended. Upon inspecting the luggage, officers found several sealed packages containing heroin inside a suitcase.
In addition to the drugs, eight high-end mobile phones, a notebook with annotations, and money in various currencies were seized: 95,000 Hungarian forints, 425 Turkish lira, and 85 euros. The three detainees, aged between 50 and 62, were taken to police facilities.
Subsequently, they were brought before the Benidorm duty court, which ordered their imprisonment, accusing them of drug trafficking. The National Police remind the public that these preventive checks are carried out randomly to enhance citizen security and prevent drug-related offenses.
