The events took place on May 3rd, when several neighbors alerted authorities to the presence of two individuals attempting to access a detached house. A Citizen Security patrol arrived at the scene and caught the suspects while they were forcing the entrance door with a sharp object.
During the inspection, officers confirmed the lock had been forced and found traces of blood, consistent with a wound on one of the detainees' hands. A search of the surrounding area led to the discovery of the tool used for the attempted break-in, which had been hidden under a container.
Subsequent investigations at the police station linked the detainees to two thefts committed days earlier inside vehicles in the towns of Altea and Elda. Among the recovered items returned to their owners are a USB storage device and wireless headphones.
The two men have been brought before the Civil and Instruction Section of the Court of Instance of San Vicente del Raspeig, which has ordered their provisional release with precautionary measures. Authorities emphasize the importance of reporting any suspicious activity via the 062 phone number or the AlertCops application.
