Scare at Calp restaurant due to abundant chimney smoke

An incident involving abundant smoke from a restaurant chimney on Paseo Infanta Elena in Calp caused a scare and required the intervention of firefighters and the Local Police on Saturday afternoon.

The event took place around 8:50 PM, when the Local Police received alerts, both from 112 and from private individuals, reporting the presence of black smoke emanating from the extractor chimney of a hospitality establishment.
After police patrols arrived at the scene and verified the incident, the intervention of personnel from the Benissa Fire Station was requested. Firefighters carried out inspection and securing tasks on the affected installation.
Meanwhile, the Local Police assisted in securing the area and regulating traffic to ensure safety until the work was completed. Once the situation was resolved, normalcy was restored in the area.
