The Department of Education of the Ondara City Council has announced that the Municipal Early Childhood School will not offer early morning or dining services on Wednesday, May 7, due to a strike in 0-3 year old early childhood education in the Valencian Community.
The center will remain open with the minimum services established by the Ministry of Education of the Generalitat Valenciana. During this day, operating hours will be exclusively those subsidized by the Ministry, namely from 9:00 to 12:00 and from 15:00 to 17:00.
The Department of Education has clarified that the usual routine cannot be guaranteed, as the staff will not be at full capacity. Early morning and dining services are not part of the decreed minimum services, as they are not funded by the Ministry of Education, but by the Ondara City Council.
Given this situation, it is up to families to decide whether their children attend the center during this day of exceptional operation. The Ondara City Council has expressed its support for the demands of the workers to improve the quality of the 0-3 educational stage.
The Ondara City Council continues to work to ensure clear, transparent, and rigorous information for families, always within the framework of its competencies.
