Marina Alta bids farewell to the traditional 'juzgados' model, adopting a more modern, specialized, and coordinated judicial organization with common services and specialized teams.

Justice in Marina Alta is undergoing a significant transformation with the implementation of a new organizational model that replaces the traditional 'juzgados' (courts) with a structure based on common services and specialized teams. This change, driven by the new Organic Law 1/2025, aims to modernize, specialize, and better coordinate the Administration of Justice in the region.
The Dénia Palace of Justice already reflects this new layout. The first floor houses the civil jurisdiction and the on-call service; the second floor is dedicated to criminal instruction; and the third floor accommodates the Common Execution Service and the Section for Violence Against Women. This physical reorganization seeks to optimize space and facilitate specialized work.
One of the fundamental pillars of this new system is the specialization of teams. Specific groups have been created for procedures such as verbal, monetary, family matters, preliminary investigations, abbreviated procedures, and sentence enforcement. The goal is for each team to focus on specific areas, thereby improving the speed of procedures and citizen response.
This model also aims for more efficient use of human and technological resources. Flexibility will allow for the redistribution of personnel according to current needs, fostering a more dynamic operation and strengthening coordination between the Court and the Judicial Office. While it won't immediately solve all historical problems, it represents an important step towards a more modern Justice system adapted to current realities.
