The family of Juan, the young man murdered 33 years ago in Dénia, has intensified their protests by placing several banners in the Plaza de la Constitución, in front of the town hall, demanding justice and the return of the skeletal remains.

The family of Juan, the young man from Dénia murdered 33 years ago, continues their fight to ensure the skeletal remains recently found in a house on Hospital street, which they identify as belonging to their relative, are handed over to them. As a new pressure tactic, they have covered the Plaza de la Constitución with banners.
A week ago, they had already placed a first banner at the entrance to the town hall with the slogan ‘the body of our brother Juan’. Now, four more banners have been added, along with a large poster featuring a picture of Juan, a black ribbon, and the message: ‘33 years demanding justice. Neither oblivion nor silence’.
In the new banners, the family also calls for «prison for the murderers». Since the discovery of the remains, which are under judicial custody, they have carried out various protest actions, including a demonstration through Marqués de Campo street that ended with an incursion into the National Police Station.
The family has been camped out in the same Plaza de la Constitución for days, a few meters from the banners, to keep their demands alive.
