The Valencian Community ranks as the third territory with the most tourist bookings for the summer, according to Airbnb data, with Xàbia, Dénia, Altea, and Cullera among the top ten most searched destinations nationwide.

The Valencian Community is confirmed as one of the main tourist hubs for the summer, ranking as the third autonomous community with the most bookings in Spain, behind Andalusia and Catalonia. Airbnb's internal data for the 2026 summer season particularly highlights interest in the region, as four of the ten most searched national destinations are Valencian.
Platja de l’Arenal in Xàbia tops the national ranking of the most searched destinations for this summer. Following closely, within the same list, are Dénia, Altea, and Cullera, making the Valencian Community the territory with the greatest presence in this classification. Calp also appears in eighth place, reinforcing the prominence of the Valencian coast in holiday planning.
The report points to a shift in travel habits, with group trips growing by over 17% and family trips by around 10%. Rural tourism now accounts for almost three out of every ten summer bookings, and so-called 'playcations' are gaining ground, offering getaways that combine sports, nature, and outdoor activities. Proximity to golf courses also boosts destinations like Pedreguer.
The concentration of Valencian destinations among the most searched consolidates the coast's appeal for combining beaches, gastronomy, and accommodation designed for families or groups. The Valencian territory holds the third position in overall booking volume, accounting for more than one in every six national bookings.
The report also notes an increase in searches related to the total solar eclipse on August 12, with a 250% rise in searches for Valencian destinations. The interest in locations with clear skies and low light pollution places the Valencian Community among the areas with the most anticipation for this phenomenon.
Rural tourism and holidays focused on sports activities are also gaining traction, showing a trend towards getaways seeking nature, tranquility, and shared experiences, beyond just a beach stay.
