Starting tomorrow, July 1st, Calp's new ordinance on acoustic conditions comes into effect, limiting hours for noisy construction work until after the summer.

The regulation stipulates that construction work that may produce noise, whether public or private, must be carried out between 9 AM and 2 PM, and between 5 PM and 8 PM. This hourly limitation will apply during July and September.
Furthermore, throughout August, in the residential areas of Calp, all types of urbanization, construction, or building works are completely prohibited. Only minor jobs that do not generate noise or disturb neighbors will be excepted, as well as urgent or public interest works due to necessity or danger.
The Calp City Council aims with these measures to balance construction activity with citizens' right to rest, especially during the tourist season. The council calls for citizen involvement to comply with the ordinance and ensure a pleasant stay for visitors.
