The exhibition, open for three weeks, offers a visual journey through the group's trajectory since its founding in 1965 to the present day. The display also serves as a trip through the city's recent history through the experiences of various generations of scouts.
A selection of photographs, recovered thanks to the collaboration of former scouts and families, illustrates the evolution of activities, camps, and the group's daily life. Visitors can also see historical uniforms, neckerchiefs, badges, and other objects reflecting scout culture and changes over time.
Jaume Feliu, the exhibition's driving force, has been key in collecting, classifying, and restoring the material. The exhibition is aimed at former scouts as well as anyone interested in the history of Xàtiva, photography, or the scout movement, with the goal of showcasing scouting's formative role.
The Cohinoor Scout Group, the oldest scout group in Xàtiva, maintains its activity with nearly a hundred members. The essence of scouting, focused on education in values, commitment, and respect for nature, remains intact, looking towards the future with enthusiasm.
