Torrent to Host Benito Pozo Memorial Popular Race Against Addictions

The event, organized by Torrent City Council and Artic, will promote healthy lifestyles through a six-kilometer urban route.

The city of Torrent will host the Popular Race Against Drugs – Benito Pozo Memorial on May 16, an initiative combining sport and social awareness to prevent addictions.

Organized by the Torrent City Council, through the Municipal Sports Foundation, and the Artic association, this race, already consolidated in the city's sports and social calendar, seeks to promote healthy lifestyles among citizens, especially among young people.
The event will start at 7:00 PM from Plaça Major and will feature a six-kilometer urban route through various points of the municipality. Under the slogan “Change your addiction for a hobby,” the race focuses on addiction prevention.

"We invite all citizens to join and participate in this popular race, highlighting the importance of continuing to foster healthy lifestyle habits and conveying a positive message of prevention and overcoming through sport."

The circuit will start and finish at Plaça Major, passing through main streets such as Plaza Colón, Fray Luis Amigó street, Padre Prudencio Avenue, Mare de Déu de la Soledat street, and the Ronda Sud de Torrent, among others. The route is accessible and dynamic for all participants.
Registrations are open until May 14 through the Cronorunner platform, with a price of five euros for both adults and young people aged 14 to 17 with authorization. High citizen participation is expected in this event that unites sport, coexistence, and social awareness.
