Torrent Hosts "Encuentros 45+" Job Fair on June 9th

The Torrent City Council, in collaboration with the Valencia Chamber of Commerce and IDEA’T, is organizing the "Encuentros 45+" Job Fair on June 9th, a key event for the employment of individuals over 45.

The City Council of Torrent, through the Chamber of Commerce of Valencia and with the collaboration of IDEA’T, will once again become a meeting point for talent, experience, and job opportunities with the celebration of a new edition of the “Encuentros 45+” Job Fair. The event, aimed at individuals over 45 seeking employment, career changes, or improved job prospects, will take place on June 9th, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, at the Antic Mercat in Torrent.
Under the slogan “Your experience is the bridge to new opportunities”, the fair aims to highlight the professional experience of participants and provide tools, contacts, and real employment opportunities. It seeks to champion senior talent as a fundamental asset for companies. Throughout the morning, attendees will have access to job interviews with companies seeking new professional profiles, consult active job offers, and participate in activities to enhance their employability.
One of the main attractions will be the opportunity to conduct direct job interviews with the Human Resources departments of participating companies. The fair aims to activate and incentivize employment, serving as a connection point between the local business community and unemployed individuals. Additionally, a comprehensive program of conferences and workshops will be included, focusing on motivation, professional guidance, and adaptation to new labor market demands.
At 10:00 AM, TEDx speaker Sergio Ayala will deliver the motivational talk “SIN_VERGÜENZA”. Subsequently, Sandra Romero, a specialist in digital communication and career guidance, will lead the workshop “Connect with your experience”, focusing on how to leverage professional trajectories and the use of Artificial Intelligence in job searching. The event will conclude with talks from various companies discussing the key factors they value most in selection processes.
The fair will feature the participation of over twenty companies and entities from diverse sectors, including industry, logistics, business services, socio-health care, personnel selection, and the events and leisure sector.
The celebration of this new edition of “Encuentros 45+” is part of the municipal employment promotion strategy driven by IDEA’T. The mayor of Torrent, Amparo Folgado, has emphasized the importance of initiatives that favor the employment of professionals over 45. For her part, the Councilor for Employment and head of IDEA’T, Sandra Fas, has highlighted IDEA’T's role as a bridge between people and companies, stressing the practical and transformative nature of the fair and the incorporation of tools like Artificial Intelligence.
