Xirivella's PSPV has denounced that the City Council has returned nearly €800,000 in subsidies for social services programs in 2024 and waived €300,000 for the sports pavilion's renovation.

The socialist municipal group has accused Xirivella's local government of returning almost €800,000, 42% of the total received, corresponding to subsidies for social services programs for the 2024 fiscal year. According to the PSPV, this return includes a surcharge of nearly €2,000 for non-payment within the established deadline.
Socialist spokesperson Encarna Martí has described this situation as "totally contradictory and unreal," dismantling the Popular Party's discourse on improved management. "Returning €800,000 and saying over and over again that since they have been in government everything works better is totally contradictory and unreal," Martí stated.
Furthermore, the PSPV has denounced the loss of a €300,000 nominative subsidy from the Generalitat Valenciana, intended for the drafting of the covered pavilion renovation project and the payment of construction management. According to socialist sources, the local government waived signing the agreement to receive this aid because the work was not delivered on time.
The project has ultimately been executed with the City Council's own funds. Martí has criticized the local government's management, stating that "this is the great management of the Mayor of Xirivella, lots of announcements, terrible management, and few realities," as the subsidy was announced but not formalized in time.
