The Paiporta City Council plenary has unanimously approved the modification of the Villa Amparo rehabilitation project, intended to house a day center for dependent elderly people, to incorporate new actions derived from damages detected during the execution of the works.

The objective of this adaptation is to incorporate new actions that have arisen as a result of damages detected during the execution of the works. Technical inspections, carried out with the work already advanced, have made it possible to identify a series of affections, mostly caused by the DANA (Depresión Aislada en Niveles Altos), which could not be known at the time of the initial project drafting.

"This type of situation is common in rehabilitation works of old buildings, as there are elements that can only be accurately assessed once the work begins. The damages detected largely respond to the consequences of the DANA and were not previously visible, so action is now being taken with technical criteria to guarantee an optimal result."

Among the main modifications, the complete reconstruction of the facade's viewpoints stands out, after a serious structural deterioration was confirmed. It also includes the replacement of the exterior door and carpentry, irreversibly affected, as well as specific actions for the treatment of humidity derived from the ravine. In addition, the perimeter exterior paving is extended to improve accessibility and safety of the surroundings.
With this modification, which does not alter the overall nature of the contract, the Paiporta City Council reaffirms its commitment to the recovery and enhancement of Villa Amparo, ensuring that the future day center meets all the necessary conditions to offer a quality service to the citizens.
