The Ministry of Justice of the Generalitat Valenciana will implement a comprehensive action plan to optimize rainwater evacuation and pumping systems in six judicial headquarters in the l'Horta region: Catarroja, Massamagrell, Moncada, Quart de Poblet, Picassent, and Paterna.

This initiative is part of a global investment of 2,021,955.99 euros allocated to 26 judicial buildings across the Valencian Community. The strategic objective is to safeguard public infrastructures and archive basements against damage from extreme weather phenomena.
The selection of these courts is based on a regional technical audit that determined that 26 out of 31 existing basement buildings have insufficient facilities or completely lack automatic water pumping mechanisms. The Ministry's priority is to ensure the watertightness of the underground areas, key departments where sensitive judicial files, evidence, and documentary material are stored.
The improvement works and hydraulic engineering include a complete technological renovation. Storage and pumping infrastructure will be installed with large-capacity tanks and pumping stations, equipped with state-of-the-art pumps and valves. New collector and impulsion pipelines will also be deployed to ensure the rapid outflow of accumulated rainwater.
Furthermore, new electrical panels, level regulators, independent power supply lines, and automated systems that will activate autonomously in case of flooding will be implemented. The intervention falls within Lot I, which includes 11 buildings in the province of Valencia, also encompassing Carlet, Requena, Sagunt, Xàtiva, and the Historiador Chabás headquarters in València city.
