Jesús Borràs has officially taken office as the new mayor of Manises, succeeding Javier Mansilla in accordance with the government agreement between PSPV, APM-Compromís, and Podem.

The leadership change is part of the government agreement signed by PSPV, APM-Compromís, and Podem for the 2023-2027 term. Political parties have emphasized the institutional normality of the handover, aiming to strengthen the local executive's stability and continue progressive social welfare policies.
Spokespersons from the three parties have positively assessed the climate of trust and cooperation that enabled this alternation, demonstrating the viability of building politics through dialogue and consensus for the general interest. The government team faces the final year of its term focused on completing the municipality's strategic projects.
With this succession, a reallocation of responsibilities has occurred. Jesús Borràs, in addition to his existing areas, assumes Institutional Relations, Protocol, Twinning, Communication, and UNESCO Coordination. Javier Mansilla remains in government, leading Housing, European Projects, Subsidies, and Tourism. Xavier Morant (APM-Compromís) takes over Procurement and Heritage.
The reconfiguration of the deputy mayorships is established with Javier Mansilla as First Deputy Mayor, followed by Rafa Mercader (Second), Carmen Moreno (Third), Àngel Mora (Fourth), María José Zamora (Fifth), and Juan Carlos Esteve (Sixth).
This reshuffle aims to uphold the foundational purpose of the progressive bloc in Manises: advancing towards a more cohesive, innovative, sustainable, and prosperous city for all its inhabitants.
