The Civil Guard of Valencia has arrested an employee of a residential home for the elderly in L'Horta Nord accused of stealing jewelry and watches from several residents, including an assault case.

The Civil Guard of Valencia has arrested an employee of a residential home for the elderly in L'Horta Nord for the alleged theft of watches and jewelry from several residents. The cooperation of the geriatric center and the analysis of security footage were key to resolving the case.
The investigation began following a report from relatives of a deceased resident, who noticed a watch missing from his belongings. Subsequently, it was discovered that other residents, some with cognitive impairment, had also been victims of similar thefts within their rooms, which are legally considered private residences.
Officers identified the alleged perpetrator, who in one case used violence, covering a resident's mouth to prevent her from calling for help. Furthermore, it was confirmed that the detainee had a court order prohibiting him from approaching or entering geriatric centers.
The arrested individual, a 39-year-old man of Salvadoran origin, left his job when the investigation began, which complicated his location. He was finally arrested on April 30th, accused of crimes of theft, robbery with violence, trespassing, and breach of a restraining order.
The investigation was carried out by the Civil Guard Post in Moncada, and the proceedings have been handed over to the Court of Instruction number 2 of Paterna.
