The city of València will host a pyrotechnic spectacle next Monday, June 1st, at 8 PM, in the Plaza de L’Ajuntament, to mark the Rei Jaume I Awards.

The València City Council has organized a pyrotechnic display to coincide with the deliberation of the jury for the Rei Jaume I Awards, who will meet in the city this week to announce the recipients. The event will take place in the Plaza de L’Ajuntament.
The pyrotechnics company Tomás de Benicarló will be responsible for the display. The show, titled “La màgia dels colors” (The Magic of Colors), will use 80.5 kilograms of gunpowder launched from 12 points. With an approximate duration of 5 minutes, it promises a visually and sonically intense experience.
The design is structured in three phases. It will open with daytime visuals combined with sound, followed by crackling and whistling effects, with a progressive increase in sound intensity. The third phase will incorporate thunder, whistles, and streamers, escalating in rhythm and intensity for a grand finale featuring a combination of single shots, digital effects, and ground thunder.
This pyrotechnic display is part of the events associated with the meeting of the Rei Jaume I Awards jury, with the awards themselves being officially announced in València on June 2nd. The aim is to enhance the institutional and festive character of this significant scientific and business event.
