Valencia's General Cemetery now features a memorial space for gestational, perinatal, and neonatal grief. Located in section 11, it was funded by NUBESMA, the Association for Support of Gestational and Neonatal Grief in Valencia, which assists families who have lost a baby during gestation, childbirth, or shortly after birth. The City Council provided the space for the memorial's installation.
The space aims to raise awareness of gestational, perinatal, and neonatal grief, offering a dignified and respectful place for affected families to process a sorrow that often remains socially silenced.
