The San Juan celebrations have become a significant event in the Fallas festive calendar, transforming entire neighborhoods into spaces for community gathering where music and popular atmosphere extend until 3:00 AM. This year, the Valencia City Council has authorized a total of 158 Fallas verbenas, along with other specific events planned for June 23.
The Junta Central Fallera has supported the application of an exemption from usual acoustic limits for these festivities. This measure is based on municipal regulations that allow for the flexibility of sound levels during authorized traditional celebrations, while maintaining the maximum permitted hours. This will enable Fallas commissions to hold mobile discos and verbenas without being subject to the usual noise ordinance levels.
This decision comes after debates surrounding noise regulation compliance at major city events, reinforcing the need to ensure the festivals proceed without compromising the legal security of the commissions or the responsibility of the City Council. The acoustic flexibility is applied while maintaining administrative control and the 3:00 AM time limit.
Among the activities scheduled for June 20, 2026, numerous proposals stand out across various Fallas commissions, including afternoon parties with DJs, mobile discos, live music events, orchestras, and DJ sets until the early morning. Some of the commissions offering activities are Falla Jesús–San Francisco de Borja, Falla Marqués de Lozoya–Poeta Cervera y Grifol, Falla Mercado de Ruzafa, Falla Avenida Manuel de Falla–Tamarindos, and many others throughout the city.
