The city of Valencia will see its residential stock increase by 112 new homes thanks to the granting of building permits for three multi-family buildings. These developments will be located on Eugenia Viñes street (El Cabanyal), Conde de Lumiares street (Torrefiel), and Mas del Cansalader street (Massarrojos). The projects include 12, 56, and 44 free-market housing units, respectively.
With these three new authorizations, added to a recent one for an 82-unit building on San Vicente Mártir street, the municipality brings the total number of new homes authorized in recent days to 194. The delegate councilor for Urban Planning Licenses, Juan Giner, has signed these resolutions.
The building planned in Torrefiel will consist of 56 homes distributed across eight above-ground floors and two basements, including 26 parking spaces for cars, 56 for bicycles, and eleven storage rooms. It will feature aerothermal systems and a photovoltaic installation.
The development in Massarrojos will have 44 homes spread across two blocks of four floors above a basement that will house 49 parking spaces and 44 storage rooms. It will also include aerothermal and photovoltaic systems for self-consumption.
Regarding the residential project in El Cabanyal, built between party walls, it will have a ground floor plus three upper floors, with three homes per floor. It will offer twelve free-market homes, six semi-basement parking spaces, and sixteen for bicycles.
The Councilor for Urban Planning and Housing, Juan Giner, highlighted that the granting of these licenses is part of the municipal government's policy to increase housing supply. He recalled that the City Council is working on the direct construction of public housing, the unblocking of new PAI (Urban Development Plans), and public-private collaboration to mobilize investment.
Giner emphasized the effort to unblock over 22,000 urban planning files, reducing the average waiting time for license processing by 70%, particularly for Public Protection Housing (VPP).
