This program is designed to create a space for professional connection and positioning for Valencian performers, facilitating direct contact with casting professionals from across the state within one of the region's key audiovisual markets.
The twelve participating performers were selected through a draw held on Monday, June 8th, at the Filmoteca Valenciana, attended by Nacho Navarro (AVAV), Jordi Ballester (AAPV), and Luis Gosálbez (IVC).
The call for applications received a total of 80 registrations, reflecting the Valencian acting sector's interest in such professional initiatives.
The València Acting Program is organized in collaboration with the Professional Association of Casting Directors of Spain (APDICE) and will feature casting directors Norma Masip, Alejandra Alaff, and Belén Calafell, along with casting director Víctor Antolí, all associated with top-tier national audiovisual projects.
The program includes practical, small-group sessions focusing on current casting tools, self-tapes, in-room direction, and real selection processes, as well as one-to-one professional meetings between performers and casting directors.
These individualized meetings are intended as opportunities for guidance, professional feedback, and direct contact between talent and the industry. Participants will also have access to Promercat's networking activities and spaces with producers, distributors, and other audiovisual sector agents.
The twelve selected performers are Alexandru Marín, Mel·lina Algarra Robles, Mauro Cervera Just, María Guerra Marchirant, Vicky Sirera Hernández, Fernando Soler Roig, Sixto Xavier García, Mariam Torres, Alex Rubio Renovell, Jaime Linares Martínez, Amparo Ferrer Báguena, and Laura Useleti.
