The municipal resolution, accessed by this newspaper, indicates that the festival's three stages exceeded the agreed acoustic levels. The council reminds the public company City of Arts and Sciences (CACSA) that it is mandatory to strictly comply with the court ruling that protects local residents from noise pollution.
During the first day, Local Police officers confirmed that noise emission levels were significantly higher than those included in the previously submitted acoustic study. Specifically, values exceeding 96 decibels were recorded on the main stage, while the limit set for nighttime hours was 80 decibels.
The event promoters have issued a statement criticizing the council's management and defending their commitment to keeping the festival at its usual location. Meanwhile, music industry entities have lamented the cancellation and called for long-term planning that provides legal certainty for organizers.
