The Civil Guard has arrested six people, four of whom have been sent to prison, for up to thirty offenses committed in various towns in the provinces of Valencia and Alicante.

Agents detected a considerable increase in robberies in the Oliva-Gandía area during September 2025, including motor vehicle thefts, burglaries in occupied homes, as well as in hospitality venues, pharmacies, gas stations, and tobacconists. The investigation, codenamed operation “Tikras”, observed common patterns in the theft and use of vehicles to commit the assaults.
Analysis of security and traffic camera footage allowed for the identification of stolen vehicles and the tracking of the investigated individuals' routes. A criminal group with a history in the La Safor region, known for property crimes, was identified.
Four home searches were carried out in Gandía, Almoines, and Les Palmeres, resulting in the arrest of five men (aged 20 to 43) and one woman (aged 30). One of the detainees had two outstanding judicial warrants for search and appearance.
They are accused of 20 counts of burglary, nine counts of vehicle theft or unauthorized use, two counts of firearm possession, two counts of drug trafficking, one count of driving without a license, and one count of criminal group affiliation. Four of the detainees have been remanded in custody.
During the searches, various weapons were seized (a pen-type pistol, an unregistered handgun, ammunition, and two prohibited knives), as well as narcotic substances (cocaine, marijuana, hashish, LSD, methamphetamine, and ecstasy), over 2,700 euros in cash, clothing, and mobile phones.
