The councilor for the Compromís municipal group, Sergi Campillo, has announced his resignation from his position as councilor in the València City Council, marking the end of a period of dedication to public management since 2011.

Sergi Campillo, councilor for the Compromís municipal group, has officially communicated his decision to resign from his councilor's seat in the València City Council. The news was shared through his social media channels amidst a period of internal renewal within his coalition.
In a statement, Campillo expressed that "I have always been clear that institutional politics must have an end." He recalled the "wonderful, and at times difficult" years he has experienced at the city council, first as an advisor for the Compromís municipal group (from 2011 to 2015) and later as a councilor from 2015 onwards.
He highlighted that having been deputy mayor of València with Joan Ribó "is and will be the greatest honor" of his political life, expressing his "immense pride" in having dedicated years to public management. Campillo emphasized the importance of knowing "when it is best to close one chapter to open others," and stated his "firm conviction" that his time as a councilor ends now.
