The Municipal Sports Foundation of València has announced the availability of 5,658 places in its Summer Sports Schools, aimed at children aged 4 to 18, with a varied program of recreational and sports activities.

These schools, organized in collaboration with various sports federations and clubs in the city, will run in weekly shifts between June and September. A dozen municipal sports facilities will host the activities, as reported by the city council in a statement.
Among the disciplines participants can practice are hockey, water polo, basketball, badminton, triathlon, karate, fencing, rowing, chess, and beach volleyball. Additionally, alternative sports, sports games, aquatic, and recreational activities will be offered to ensure a comprehensive and fun experience.
The facilities participating in this initiative include the Benimaclet Sports Center, the La Petxina Sports and Cultural Complex, the Turia Sports Center, the Verge del Carme-Beteró Sports Center, the CEIP Ramiro Jover, La Marina de València, the Nazaret Sports Center, the Cabanyal-Canyamelar Sports Center, the Benicalap pavilion, and the beach volleyball facility at Malva-Rosa beach.
Thanks to municipal support, almost all these facilities offer an optional dining service for users who require it. Furthermore, the Municipal Sports Foundation will reserve 10% of the places (a total of 565) for students from municipal social centers, through a social inclusion program via sport.

"Not only do we provide a conciliation alternative for parents who work during the summer season, but we also continue to work on school sports from an early age."

the Sports Councilor
The Summer Sports Schools are developed annually with the aim of facilitating learning for children in the city through sports and recreational classes. These activities allow them to maintain their usual routine during holiday periods and experience sports in a more playful way, while also supporting work-life balance for parents working during the summer.
