The Marxalenes neighborhood in Valencia now features a new public and free parking area, created by the City Council on a municipal plot.

The new parking space, located between Tramuntana, Enginyer la Cierva streets, and the Francesc Tàrrega area, is now available for residents. The project, carried out by the City Council's Works Service, offers 36 spaces for cars and five for motorcycles, covering an area of 964 m2. Three of these spaces are reserved for individuals with reduced mobility.
The work involved paving the plot and subsequently marking and signing the parking spaces. The parking area is open and free to access, as reported by the city council.
Juan Giner, Councilor for Urban Planning and Housing, emphasized that this intervention "directly improves the daily lives of residents, responding to a real need for parking in the area." Giner recalled that this demand was raised by the community in meetings at the Urban Planning Delegation, where the difficulty of finding parking in the zone was highlighted.
Furthermore, the conditioning of the plot has helped organize and improve the functionality of a space that, according to residents, suffered from recurring problems with rainfall.
The councilor praised the Works Service for "swiftly addressing smaller-scale but high-impact citizen interventions," and stressed the Valencia City Council's commitment to acting "in all neighborhoods and at all levels," from major urban development projects to specific interventions that significantly enhance daily life.
The works, which began in mid-May, were completed ahead of the initially planned six-week deadline. With its opening, the neighborhood gains a new surface parking resource that is free to access.
