The Valencian Generalitat has announced a five million euro subsidy to support the filming of the live-action 'Tangled' ('Cascade') in the Valencian Community during 2026.

The president of the Valencian Generalitat, Juanfran Pérez Llorca, highlighted that this project represents a "strategic boost to the Valencian audiovisual sector". The filming, which includes locations in Catalonia, will benefit from this significant financial contribution, as outlined in the regional budget proposal for 2026.
The direct subsidy of five million euros has been awarded to the company Sol Films 2026, based in Alicante. This recently established production company has Anima Stillking Films S.L. as its sole partner, known for its involvement in international projects such as 'The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes' and 'The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon'.
The production, which is already seeking extras in Alicante, will take place in several emblematic locations such as the Ciudad de la Luz and Santa Bárbara Castle. The production is expected to generate an estimated direct investment of 40 million euros in the Valencian Community and create around 2,500 jobs for local companies and professionals.
Estimates from the regional government anticipate a media return of between 200 and 600 million euros in advertising value, and a total economic impact that could range between 80 and 120 million euros.
The film, directed by Michael Gracey, will star Teagan Croft as Rapunzel, Milo Manheim as Flynn Rider, and Kathryn Hahn as Mother Gothel.
