Valencia Provincial Council Allocates 1.3 Million Euros for Sports and Motor Racing Aid

Subsidies are distributed among clubs, event organization, and motor racing pilots for the 2025 fiscal year.

The Valencia Provincial Council has approved an economic injection of 1.3 million euros aimed at subsidizing provincial sports for the 2025 fiscal year.

The Governing Board of the Valencia Provincial Council has greenlit the allocation of 1.3 million euros in aid for provincial sports for the 2025 fiscal year. These funds are strategically divided into four main blocks: 270,000 euros for organizing sports events; 851,000 euros to finance the participation of clubs in official competitions; 100,000 euros for motorcycling pilots; and 85,000 euros for car racing pilots.
The Deputy for Sports, Pedro Cuesta, highlighted the importance of these subsidies, stating that "these aids are fundamental for federations of minority sports and non-professional clubs, which without the support of the Provincial Council could not continue with sports practice." The disciplines benefiting range from traditional sports to lesser-known modalities such as fencing, chess, baseball, kayak polo, billiards, and aerobics.
The call for club participation in official competitions, with a total amount of 851,505.09 euros, has seen numerous applications admitted. Among the clubs receiving funding are ASOC CLUB DE BEISBOL ASTROS, ASOC. CLUB AEROBIC MONCADA, ASOCIACIÓN RUGBY TURIA, ASOCIACIÓN ASISTENCIA Y DEPORTE INCLUSIVO DE VALENCIA (ADIV), ATLETICO CLUB GANDÍA DE HALTEROFILIA, BASQUET L’HORTA DE GODELLA, CLUB ACROBATIK ALBALAT DELS SORELLS, CLUB AJEDREZ CIUDAD DE MANISES, CLUB BADMINTON SAN FERNANDO VALENCIA, CLUB BALONCESTO CLARET BENIMACLET, among many others.
Regarding the support line for organizing sports events, 270,567.57 euros have been allocated. Among the admitted events are the COPA SMEL REY DE BÉISBOL 2025 by ASOC CLUB DE BEISBOL ASTROS, the VII GRAN PREMI FEMENÍ AJUNTAMENT DE PICASSENT by BICI CLUB PICASSENT, the V OPEN INTERNACIONAL CLUB DE AJEDREZ MONTEOLIVETE, and the XXX MITJA MARATÓ & 10 K CIUTAT DE GANDIA by CLUB DE CORRER EL GARBI.
In the call for motorcycling pilots, endowed with 100,000 euros, applications from prominent riders such as ADRIAN CRUCES SERRANO, JAIME MASIA VARGAS, and KERMAN DAVID MARTINEZ VELASQUEZ have been admitted. For its part, the call for car racing pilots, with 85,033.10 euros, has granted aid to ADRIAN MALHEIRO SUÑE, CARLOS JOSE GOMEZ ALVAREZ, and DANIEL MACIA AMADOR, among others.
