This sporting event, supported by the València City Council, becomes one of only six tournaments on the professional calendar to hold this category. Its presentation took place at the Diputación de Valencia, highlighting the significance of this promotion for the city.
“"With the tournament's promotion to the ATP Challenger 175 category, València becomes the only Spanish city and one of only six cities worldwide to host a competition of this level. This circumstance is very exciting and inspiring for all Valencians."
The competition not only seeks sporting excellence but also places a special emphasis on social legacy, including the promotion of adapted sports and grassroots sports. This comprehensive approach reinforces the organization's commitment to the community.
The competition's promotion solidifies València as one of the main Spanish venues for the men's professional circuit. The management of the Valencia Tennis Club has stated that this qualitative leap reinforces their commitment to offering a top-tier event and establishes the Faulconbridge Cup as a benchmark within the international circuit.
The change in tournament dates is a strategic decision to elevate the level of players and optimize the participation of top-tier tennis players. The new date will also favor greater projection of the event beyond the court, seeking increased visibility and impact.
To enhance the public experience, the organization will strengthen the Fan Zone and offer a program of parallel activities aimed at fans, families, and the general public. Additionally, within the framework of the tournament, the book History of the Faulconbridge Cup will be presented on May 9, with the presence of historical winners who will receive a tribute for their careers.
