Women's Race Returns to Valencia with 4,000 Participants and the 016 Slogan

The fifth edition of the national circuit will fill Valencia with pink to promote women's sports and combat gender violence.

The 'pink tide' will once again color Valencia with the fifth edition of the Women's Race next Sunday, June 7th, gathering over 4,000 women for a five-kilometer route.

The city of Valencia will host the fifth edition of the Women's Race, part of the twenty-second national circuit. The event will take place on Sunday, June 7th, at 9 AM, starting at Avenida Ingeniero Manuel Soto and finishing next to IES Isabel de Villena. The event aims to promote women's sports and support social causes.
More than 4,000 women will run five kilometers through Valencia, wearing the number 016 on their bibs, the helpline for victims of gender violence. The race, which will honor the European champion of adapted surfing Mireia Cabañes this year, will include an Aerobics and Fitness festival after the competition.
Solidarity will be a key focus of the race. A portion of the funds raised will be donated to the Horta Sud Foundation, which received 10,951 euros in 2025 to help recover materials affected by the DANA storm. Beneficiaries also include the Spanish Association Against Cancer, the Spanish Federation Against Breast Cancer (FECMA), Alanna, and the AMU Association.
Proceeds from merchandising will be donated to FECMA, which will in turn allocate them to the Spanish Society of Medical Oncology (SEOM) to fund a research scholarship for breast cancer projects. Additionally, the 'Feria SportWoman' at Hall 7 of the Valencia Fair will offer free and solidarity-based sports activities.
The Councilor for Education, Sports, and Equality, Rocío Gil, highlighted the event's importance for the city, emphasizing the unity of women and the solidarity causes. "It is a great tide of brave women, where they not only run together but also support each other," she stated.
