The technology center ITI and Valencia Game City have signed an agreement to explore new opportunities in the video game sector and immersive technologies, fostering innovation and talent generation in the city.

The agreement, signed on February 13, 2026, establishes a framework for collaboration to develop initiatives that bring technology closer to the creative and business ecosystem linked to the video game sector. Valencia Game City is an initiative promoted by the City Council of València, through València Innovation Capital, to consolidate the city as a benchmark hub for the video game industry and digital talent.
Among the first lines of work is the validation of the ITI MIND platform, a technological solution from ITI based on Mixed Reality. This platform is designed to improve people's emotional and physical well-being through immersive experiences, offering activities for emotional regulation, stress management, and physical or cognitive rehabilitation.

"The video game sector is much more than leisure; it is a driver of social and technological innovation. For ITI, this agreement represents a strategic opportunity to take our technology out of the laboratory and validate it in an environment as dynamic and real as that offered by Valencia Game City. Prototypes like ITI MIND need that direct user feedback to close the innovation loop and ensure they have a relevant impact."

The ITI MIND platform seeks to address the lack of adherence to treatment and the abandonment of exercises prescribed by health professionals. Through gamified activities and serious games based on Mixed Reality, developed in collaboration with health experts, the aim is to increase user motivation for greater commitment to their well-being improvement process.
Valencia Game City is presented as an ideal environment to test this technology with real users and in various application areas. The space will allow direct feedback from visitors on aspects such as user experience and platform usability, thus contributing to its technological evolution. Over the coming months, demonstration sessions will be organized for mental health associations, senior citizen groups, and health professionals.

"These types of collaborations reinforce the city's commitment to making València a real experimentation environment for technological innovation. Valencia Game City, within the València Innovation Capital strategy, was created precisely to connect talent, companies, and technology, and agreements like the one signed with ITI allow us to explore new applications of video games in areas such as health, well-being, or education."

In addition to experimentation, the agreement also includes joint dissemination and positioning actions, as well as coordinated participation in events and fairs of common interest in the technological, creative, and digital fields. This collaboration also opens the door to new opportunities for connection between the technological ecosystem and emerging talent, fostering initiatives to bring innovation closer to students, developers, and professionals in the sector.
