A Valencian construction company has secured a 64.5 million euro contract in Bogotá, Colombia, for the construction of two road corridors, consolidating its expansion in the Latin American market.

The Urban Development Institute (IDU) of Colombia has awarded a consortium, in which a Valencian construction company holds a 50% stake, the execution of a significant project. This includes the review, design update, and construction of two road corridors, along with complementary works in the Usaquén locality of Bogotá.
The contract, valued at 64.5 million euros, reinforces the firm's presence in Colombia and includes key actions for the modernization of the city's northern urban infrastructure. The project has an integrated approach to mobility, public space, and sanitation, and will be executed over a period of 33 months.

"As it is a valorization project, financed by beneficiary users, the project will settle a historical debt of Bogotá with the citizens of the sector."

The project aims for the review, complementation, update, adjustment, preparation of studies and designs, and the construction of Avenida Santa Bárbara (AK 19), one of the busiest roads in the north of the city. It also includes complementary works in the Usaquén locality. The reconstruction of Avenida Santa Bárbara, 1,330 meters long, includes two roadways separated by a stormwater channel that had severely affected the road's stability. Avenida Contador, 910 meters long, will undergo a similar renovation.

"This contract is a firm step for the consolidation of the company in Colombia and throughout the Latin American region. It not only strengthens our position in a strategic market but also demonstrates the confidence of institutions in our technical capacity and our experience in complex urban projects."

The project's design has considered average daily traffic projections between 2021 and 2032, highlighting its strategic relevance for the mobility of one of Bogotá's most dynamic northern corridors. With this award, the consortium reinforces its position in the development of complex and sustainable urban infrastructures, contributing to the improvement of connectivity, the quality of public space, and the resilience of the Colombian capital's sanitation networks. In 2025, the company recorded significant revenue growth, improving by 31%, standing out as one of the Valencian construction companies with the greatest momentum in the civil engineering sector.
