The Valencia CF victory against the league champions not only brings in additional financial income for the club but also allows them to reclaim fourth place in the historical LaLiga standings.

Valencia CF's recent win at Mestalla against the league champions has brought unexpected benefits to the club. Although the team did not qualify for the Conference League, the triumph generated more income than initially anticipated. With this victory, Corberán's team finished in ninth place in the final standings, ahead of Rayo Vallecano and Getafe.
Economically, LaLiga distributes funds to clubs based on their annual rankings. Based on last season's figures, it is estimated that the Valencian entity will receive approximately 9.69 million euros. This capital will be distributed over five seasons, with one-fifth received annually, representing a considerable financial boost for the Mestalla club.
Another relevant detail dependent on this final matchday was the historical LaLiga standings. Historically, Valencia CF has held third place, only behind Real Madrid and FC Barcelona. However, the so-called 'Lim era' marked a significant drop in this ranking. Since January 2016, following a negative streak of over two months without a win, the team has seen other clubs, such as Atlético de Madrid and more recently Athletic Club, surpass them.
Thanks to the three points obtained against Barça and the defeat of Athletic Club against Real Madrid, Valencia CF has managed to regain fourth place in the historical standings. Currently, the Valencian team has the same points as Athletic, despite having played four fewer seasons and 98 fewer matches in the national tournament. With 3,850 points, Valencia CF remains one of the giants of Spanish football, surpassing teams like Sevilla (sixth with 3,327 points) and UD Las Palmas (twentieth with 1,114 points).
