The Saturday of the festivities for the Virgin of the Forsaken in Valencia proceeded normally, thanks to the reappearance of the sun which allowed the Dansà dels Pobles and the inauguration of the Mercat de l'Escuraeta.

After a morning marked by persistent rain in the city, weather forecasts were met and the sun appeared, facilitating the start of the devotional machinery. This change was crucial for the realization of the scheduled events in the Plaza de la Virgen.
Thus, the Dansà dels Pobles, the first public act of the day, could be celebrated. This will be followed by the concert of the Municipal Band, the castle, and the dansà of the city's groups, almost as if the bad weather had not affected the plans.
The improvement in weather also allowed groups of devotees to begin their journey to reach the Plaza de la Virgen, covering distances ranging from a few to several tens of kilometers, to participate in the festivity.
Furthermore, the stalls of the Mercat de l'Escuraeta opened their doors. It is expected that before midnight, people will already be waiting at the back gate of the Basilica to secure a spot and enter, in the early hours of the morning, to witness the Descoberta.
This Sunday, the ritual will be completed with the Missa d'Infants, the Traslado (with a new route), the mascletà, and the General Procession, which will begin at half past five in the afternoon and will last for more than four hours.
