The event, designed to bring science closer to younger audiences, offers a promotion of free children's admission for ages 4 to 12, provided they are accompanied by a paying adult. This initiative aims to foster interest in science through direct experience within the museum.
Among the highlighted activities, the ‘Science on Stage’ program will feature live experiment sessions in the Santiago Grisolía Auditorium. These will take place at 12:30 PM and 5:00 PM, with free access until full capacity is reached.
The museum also boasts a wide range of exhibitions and educational programs. The exhibition ‘Metamorphosis. The Power of Transformation’ is recommended for ages 6 and up and includes interactive resources. For younger children, the Espai dels Xiquets (ages 4 to 8) offers activities focused on the senses, water, and animals.
Additionally, the Science Theater, located on the first floor, will present the show ‘High Voltage’, dedicated to electricity, with several sessions on Sundays at 11:30 AM, 1:00 PM, 4:00 PM, and 5:30 PM.
To conclude the special program, on Monday, May 18, coinciding with International Museum Day, a free solar observation activity has been organized in the Astronomy Garden of the Umbracle, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Experts will guide the public to observe solar phenomena such as sunspots on the photosphere.
