The Silk Museum in Valencia celebrated its tenth anniversary today, having established itself as a cultural landmark that has welcomed over 425,000 visitors since its opening.

Over this time, the building has hosted nearly 20 temporary exhibitions and various educational initiatives. These efforts have helped preserve the legacy of the silk weavers' guild and the industrial tradition that defines the city's identity.
The celebration took place in the Orchard of the College of the Silk Art. During the event, the importance of the building's restoration was highlighted, which allowed for the recovery of its 18th-century splendor and its transformation into a modern museum space.

"Ten years ago, we had the enormous satisfaction of seeing the dream of the restoration of the College of the Silk Art and the inauguration of the museum come true."

The event was attended by institutional representatives and members of the cultural sector. Attendees were able to learn about the progress of the first Artisan Weaver course, promoted by the College of the Silk Art to prevent the loss of this centuries-old craft.
