The third edition of the Velas Maraton Grand Prix will take place next Saturday, May 16, at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit in Cheste. The main appeal of this event lies in its unique location, as runners will take over the circuit's asphalt for a day.
The race offers two distances, 4 and 10 kilometers, and according to the organizing club, Velas Maraton, over 1,000 registrations have already been received. A new feature this year is the distribution of cash prizes to the top three absolute winners in both male and female categories for the 10K distance.
Velas Maraton has coordinated various entertainment points within the circuit and also offers companions the opportunity to fully enjoy the race from the grandstands. Another highlight of the day will be the post-race event, where attendees can have dinner and enjoy live music.
“"The great attraction of the event lies precisely in the place where it takes place, as for one day, it will be the runners who take to the asphalt."
The program will also feature the stories of two popular runners, Santi Toledo and Kid Rizzo, who met in Valencia through running. Their friendship has led them to train and compete together, achieving a high level. Both will discuss their journey and objectives, including the Valencia Trinidad Alfonso Zurich Marathon next December.
In the news section, Super Running will review prominent stories such as the eleventh edition of the José Antonio Redolat Race, which attracted 5,300 participants. Additionally, it will cover the registration process for the 15K Nocturna Valencia Gana Energía and the Women's Race.
