The Department of Education has recorded a 39.7% follow-up rate in the indefinite teachers' strike, now in its first week, with varying figures across provinces.

Nearly 4 out of 10 Valencian teachers did not report to work this Monday, with the Department of Education estimating the follow-up rate for the indefinite educational strike at 39.7% in its first week. By province, Alicante had 41.26% of teachers out of classrooms; Valencia, 39.84%; and Castellón, 34.88%.
This figure represents a 0.6 percentage point increase compared to last Friday, the day a large demonstration took place in the city of Valencia with over 35,000 attendees. Monday's figure is the second highest since the protests began.
The Generalitat has presented a new proposal to the unions, including a monthly salary increase of 120 euros in two installments (January and July 2027). Although this is an increase of 45 euros compared to the previous offer, it still falls short of the unions' initial demands.
The follow-up occurred on a day with demonstrations in the three provincial capitals. In Valencia, several groups of protesters marched through the city center to the headquarters of the Department of Education.
Unions have scheduled a calendar of mobilizations until Friday. Decentralized actions are planned for Tuesday, concentrations at the Department of Education headquarters on Wednesday, and gatherings near Les Corts Valencianes and the Generalitat delegations in Alicante and Castellón on Thursday.
Three demonstrations are scheduled for Friday. In Valencia, the march will start at the Ministry of Finance and end at Plaza Manises. In Alicante and Castellón, gatherings will take place in front of the respective Finance delegations.
