The labor dispute, which continues throughout this week, aims to demand improvements in professional conditions, such as voluntary on-call shifts and a 35-hour work week. According to data provided by the regional administration, turnout in Valencia was 5.53%, while in Castellón it stood at 4.04% and in Alicante it reached 11.14%.
For its part, the Medical Union of the Valencian Community has described the participation as extraordinary, taking into account the established minimum services, which range between 50% and 100% depending on the center. Union representatives have criticized the management of the Department of Health and pointed out that, despite the official figures, waiting lists continue to increase.
Negotiations have been at a standstill since April. As part of the mobilizations, a central demonstration is scheduled for this Wednesday at 6:30 PM, which will begin at the Palau de la Generalitat in Valencia. Demonstrations have also been called in front of the Department headquarters in Alicante and Castellón.
